Indore welcomes Ganapati Bappa



Cultural events began with pomp and splendour to celebrate the beginning of the 10-day-long festival of Ganesh Chaturthi in Indore on Monday.

Shri Ganesh Mandal, Indore organised a Marathi poetry session at their office. Marathi poet VishuBhau Bapat came from Mumbai to recite his poems at the function.

Ganesha, the Hindu god, is worshipped for having a blissful initiation of any commercial or cultural work.
A procession to bring a 13-foot-tall idol of Lord Ganesh was carried out by Shri Bhai Mohalla Ganesh Utsav Samiti from Krishnapura Chattri till Bhai Mohalla area.

On the other hand, Balaji group carried out the Ganpati procession to spread awareness regarding ‘treason-free India’ from Rambagh petrol pump till Tilak Path.

Mudra Kathak Dance Academy organised a dance programme titled ‘Shri Krishnalahri’ at Jaal Auditorium. Forty-one performers presented a Kathak performance to mark the beginning of Ganesh Chaturthi.
