Here's A Sneak Peek Into Indian Railways' New Fully AC 3-Tier Train - The Humsafar Express

It’s hard to keep a track of Indian Railways with so much happening around. It was only yesterday that we heard about the brand-new Humsafar trains. And now it is all set to launch next month with fares that would be 20% higher than express trains.

To be rolled out in October, Humsafar Express has been envisioned as a fully air-conditioned 3-tier service. It is one of the three trains that were announced for reserved passengers. The production of the train is in its final stages of manufacturing and will be on a roll within a month.

Apart from being fully-functional, Humsafar would come with a choice of optional lunch.
The train is also expected to come with several advanced features that are otherwise not available on regular trains.

Features like TV, GPS-based passenger information systems and fire and smoke detectors will be installed all across the train.

There will be seats with padding and comfortable side handles with suppression systems.
This is in line with India’s mission of ensuring defecation-free tracks. Not to forget that the interiors will be plush, with odour control systems, and fire and smoke detection alarms.

The train will come with improved aesthetics and new interior and exterior colour schemes. The train seats will be much more comfortable than any other train in the same league, presenting a futuristic look with the use of vinyl sheets similar to Maharaja Express coaches.
