Kapil Sharma asks PM Narendra Modi ‘ye hai aapke acche din’

On Friday morning, a frustrated Kapil Sharma tweeted about being asked to pay Rs 5 lakh as bribe to Mumbai civic body BMC for getting his office made. He also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying, ‘Yeh hai aapke acche din?’

He also mentioned that he has paid Rs 15 crore as tax. “I am paying 15 cr income tax from last 5 year n still i have to pay 5 lacs bribe to BMC office for making my office @narendramodi.” While many thanked him for bringing the focus back on corruption, others targetted him for lashing out at PM Modi but there were many who were left asking how much Kapil Sharma earns.

For all of you, here is the answer: Host of The Kapil Sharma Show reportedly takes home about Rs 60 lakh per episode. According to media reports, the stand-up comedian — who featured in a Forbes list of India’s highest paid celebs in 2015 — actually earns more than most Bollywood stars he hosts on his show.

When Kapil jumped the ship from Colors to Sony, he was given a huge pay hike. Given the show comes twice a week, you can do your math. The actor takes home around Rs 5 crore per month from the show itself. Add his brand endorsements to the list and he will feature among India’s top paid celebs on any list.
