हा न्हावी तीन कोटीच्या रॉल्स रॉयस कारने येतो सलूनमध्ये, अब्जाधिश असूनही कापतो लोकांचे केस

व्यवसाय जर केस कापण्याचा असेल तर तो व्यक्ती महिन्याभरात किती कमावू शकेल. अंदाजे सांगा बरं... ५०००, १०,००० एवढेच ना... परंतु बंगळूरुमधील रमेशबाबू हे असे न्हावी आहेत ज्यांचा महिन्याचा टर्नओवर लाखो रुपयांचा आहे. विश्वास बसत नाही ना.. परंतु हे खरे आहे. रमेश बाबूंनी आपल्या जिद्द आणि चिकाटीने सलूनच्या बिझनेसमधून अब्जावधी रुपये कममावले आहे. आज त्यांच्याकडे देशातील सर्वात महागडी कार आहे. एवढेच नव्हे तर ते आपल्या तीन कोटी रुपयांच्या रोल्स रॉयस कारमध्ये बसून सलूनमध्ये येतात. रमेश यांच्याकडे रोल्स रॉयससह मर्सडीज, बीएमडब्ल्यू व ऑडीसारख्या लक्झरी कार आहेत. उल्लेखनिय गोष्ट म्हणजे रमेश यांच्या सलूनमध्ये ग्राहकांकडून केस कापण्याचे केवळ 100 रुपये आकारले जातात.

रमेश लहान असतानाच पितृछत्र हरपले...
बंगळुरुतील अनंतपूर येथील रहिवासी रमेश हे सात वर्षांचे असताना त्यांच्या वडीलांचे निधन झाले होते. रमेश यांनी तीन भाऊ--बहीण आहे. वडिलांच्या मृत्युनंतर रमेश यांच्या आईने प्रचंड कष्ट उपसले. लोकांकडे धुनीभांडी करून त्यांनी मुलांचे पालनपोषन केले.

रमेश यांच्या वडिलांचे बंगळुरुमधील चिन्नास्वामी स्टेडियमबाहेर सलून होते. रमेश यांच्या आईने दुकान फक्त 5 रुपये प्रति महिना भाड्याने एका व्यक्तीला दिले. आईला मदत करण्‍यासाठी रमेश यांनी कमी वयात मिळेल ते काम सुरु केले. माध्यमिक शिक्षण घेत असताना रमेश वृत्तपत्र व दूध पॅकेट विक्री सुरु केली. रमेश यांना 12 वीत अपयश आले. नंतर त्यांनी आयटीआयमधून इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्समध्ये डिप्लोमा केला.

सुरु केली ट्रॅव्हल एजन्सी...
1989 मध्ये वडीलांचे दुकान परत मिळवून नव्या दमाने आपला जातीवंत व्यवसाय सुरु केला. दुकानाला मॉर्डन सलून देऊन मार्केटमध्ये स्वत:ची नवी ओळख निर्माण केली. याकाळात त्यांनी एक मारुती व्हॅन खरेदी केली. मात्र, रमेश यांना कार चालवता येत नव्हती. त्यांनी ती भाड्याने दिली.

2004 मध्ये रमेश यांनी स्वत:ची 'रमेश टूर अॅण्ड ट्रॅव्हल्स' कंपनी सुरु केली. आज रमेश यांच्याकडे 200 पेक्षा जास्त कार आहेत. त्यात रोल्स रॉयस, मर्सिडिस व बीएमडब्ल्यूसारख्या गाड्यांचा समावेश आहे. रमेश आपल्या सर्व कार भाड्याने देतात. बंगळुरुमध्ये 2004 मध्ये लक्झरी कार भाड्याने देणारे रमेश हे एकमेव व्यक्ती होते.

बिझनेसमध्ये जोखीम स्विकारू बनला अब्जाधीश...
मीडिया रिपोर्ट्सनुसार, रमेश यांनी सांगितले की, 2004 मध्ये पहिली लक्झरी कार खरेदी केली. मात्र, आपण मोठी चूक केली, असे त्यांना वाटत होते. 2004 मध्ये 40 लाख रुपये खर्च करणे ही मोठी रक्कम होती. मात्र, रमेश यांनी जोखीम स्विकारली. बिझनेसमध्ये लॉस झाला तर लक्झरी कार विकून टाकू, असाही त्यांनी विचार केला होता. मात्र, त्यांच्यावर तशी वेळ आली नाही. अल्पावधीत त्यांचा ट्रॅव्हलचा बिझनेसने भरारी घेतली. रमेश बाबू यांच्याकडे आज 200 पेक्षा जास्त कार आहेत. तसेच 60 पेक्षा जास्त ड्राव्हरर्स आहेत. यात नऊ मर्सडीज, सह बीएमडब्ल्यू, एक जग्युआर, तीन ऑडी कार व रॉल्स रॉयसारख्या महागड्या कारचा समावेश आहे.

दिवसभरात दोन तास सलूनमध्ये कारतात काम... 
एक सक्सेसफुल बिझनेसमन म्हणून लोकप्रिय झालेले रमेश बाबू अाज अापल्या सलूनमध्ये दोन तास काम करतात. ग्राहकांचे केस कापतात. या कामामुळे त्यांना अब्जाधिश बनवले आहे.

दररोज सकाळी साडेपाच वाजता ते गॅरेजमध्ये येतात. गाड्यांची रेखरेख व बुकिंगबाबत माहिती जाणून घेतात. सकाळी साडे 10 ला आपल्या ऑफिसमध्ये पोहोचतात. दिवसभरात क्लाइंट व बिझनेसमनशीचर्चा केल्यानंतर सायंकाळी 5-7 या काळात सलूनमध्ये बसतात. रमेश बाबू यांनी अमिताभ बच्चन, ऐश्वर्या राय बच्चन ते शाहरुख खान सारख्या सेलिब्रिटीजचे केस कापले आहेत. रमेश बाबू यांच्याकडे केस कापण्यासाठी कोलकाता ते मुंबईहून ग्राहक येतात.

रमेश बाबू यांना सांगितले की, देशातील इतर मोठ्या शहरात आपला बिझनेस सुरु करण्याची मनीषा आहे. सलून व टॅक्सी सर्व्हिस आंध्र प्रदेशातील विजयवाडामध्ये सुरु करण्‍याचे प्लानिंग आहे. रमेश बाबू आपल्या दोन्ही मुली व एक मुलाला सलूनचे काम शिकवत आहेत. ते दररोज मुलांना बिझनेस टिप्स देतात.

What does he do?

1994: Ramesh decided to run his father’s shop instead of continuing his education. The salon was called ‘Inner Space’ and was in a shopping complex near the school where he studied. It soon became a trendy styling outlet.

1997: As he always dreamt of owning a car, Ramesh purchased a Maruti Omni and started renting it to people for their personal use. That became the turning point in his life. His reputation grew with the car rental business.

End of 1990: He was running a successful taxi operation business by the name of Ramesh Tours and Travels.

2004: He got into the luxury car rental and self-drive business.

Which cars does he have?
His first car was a 38 Lakh Mercedes E-Class luxury sedan. Right now, his fleet consists of around 200 cars, vans and mini-buses, including imported vehicles—a Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, Mercedes C, E and S class and BMW 5, 6 and 7 series. He has a fleet of imported Mercedes vans and Toyota mini-buses.

How much does he charge?
Rs 75000 a day for the Rolls.

Just cars?
No. He also owns a Suzuki Intruder high-end bike that is worth Rs 16 lakh.

Even today, he hasn’t forgotten his roots. He cuts hair for his old customers for just Rs 65. Although cars are his passion, he will continue to cut hair as long as his hands are healthy.

2017 Honda Civic Hatchback revealed ahead of 2016 Paris auto show

Less than two weeks ahead of its world premiere in Paris on September 29, Honda has unveiled the European version of the new Civic Hatchback.

The only visible differences between the European and North American specification model that was introduced first in August are (predictably) the amber-colored side markers, and if our eyes aren’t playing tricks on us, the positioning of the Sport version’s twin exhaust pipes on the right for the N.A. model and the center of the rear bumper on the EU car.

In Europe, the new Civic hatch will launch with two turbocharged petrol engines, a 1.0-liter three-cylinder mill rated for 127hp, and a 1.5-liter four-cylinder delivering 180hp, both driving the front wheels via a standard six-speed manual or an optional CVT automatic. A revised version of the outgoing model’s 118hp 1.6-liter turbo diesel will be added to the range in the second half of 2017.

The North American version will be released with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline four producing 174hp and 162 lb.-ft. of torque in LX, EX and EX-L trims with a CVT, 174hp and 167 lb.-ft in the LX with a 6-speed manual, 180hp and 162 lb.-ft. in Sport and Sport Touring grades with a CVT, and 180hp and 177 lb.-ft. in the Sport with a 6sp stick shift.

At 4,497mm (177 in.) long, 1,800mm (70.9 in.) wide and 1,421mm (55.9 in.) tall, is 127mm (5.0 in.) longer, 30mm (1.2 in.) wider and 20mm (0.8 in.) lower than the car it replaces. It also rides on a 30mm (1.2 in.) longer wheelbase, yet weighs 16kg (35 lbs) less than its predecessor. Honda promises improved leg and shoulder room for passengers, while upping boot space by 1 liter to 478 liters, which is significantly more than the VW Golf’s 380 liters.

Series production of the global-market 2017 Civic hatchback has already kicked off at Honda’s UK manufacturing base in Swindon, with the model set to be exported to more than 70 countries around the world, including European markets, North America and Canada. Honda will also offer the new Civic Sedan in Europe, but the four-door model will be produced at the brand’s facility in Gebzé, Turkey, with sales to start early next year.
